1) Tailor returned the sarees!
2) 'Devara sammArAdhane' done today.

1) Tailor was found through major contacts and he returned the sarees. It is said that he was out of town!
2) 'Devara sammArAdhane' was elaborate today. We started at 8am and completed the proceedings by 3pm. With full of 'hOma' and procedures, it was a tiring day. 'navagraha hOma' was done in detailed fashion. With temperature reaching 120 F in the vicinity of the fire, it was a herculean task to avoid smoke from the burning eyes.

Amma was involved in a major first aid when one of the invitees fainted due to low blood pressure. This occurred just after lunch and Amma first ran to the patient and gave mouth-to-mouth respiration. He recovered within a minute and sat up. Few seconds later, the patient fainted again and lost his pulse, and started sweating. One more round of m-to-m along with immediate call for an ambulance was done. He was shifted to a local hospital. The doctors there said that he had a heart attack and is under close monitoring now.

Wedding Dress Missing

With two days to go for the wedding, wedding dress of the bride and her Sister-in-law are missing. 'n' sarees (exact number not disclosed due to security reasons) were given to the local tailor to stitch the border(falls) and the tailor is absconding since last Friday. Contacting him on his cell phone has gone in vain. Nobody in the neighboring shops knows his home address or telephone number.

Hope is that he turns up today (Wednesday) OR, atleast by Thursday. If he doesn't, alternate arrangements have to be made. What a drama with suspense?

Feels like, 3 months went off in rapid time. Only these nexr 4 days seems to look like slow paced.

Runaway groom, a small act.

The groom tries to run away from the wedding ceremony before the bride comes in. This is his final opportunity/chance. But, just then, father of the bride requests the groom not to leave, but stay back and marry his daughter.
This is the significance of 'kAshi yAtra', one of the main rituals in a Hindu wedding.

Developing an online website

To make use of the latest trends of using the web for almost everything, we are designing a website for our wedding. The website is under construction and should be up shortly. This website will contain all the useful information of the wedding including pictures, audio and stories behind the wedding.

Map for the venue

Finalizing the invitation card is in progress. This includes adding a map on the back of the card.

Sitting here, it was easy to locate the exact position of the venue. For people who know Bangalore, the address is a tricky one. It says Banashankari 3rd Stage, but, it is not actually near Avalahalli or Krishna Bhat Colony. This is near Padmanabha Nagar, near KIMS hostel. To get a clear picture, all one needs to do is go to maps.google.com and search for "No. 136/17, 30th Main, Banashankari, Bangalore" in the address space. Below is the view of that.

Introduction

How would it be to give everyone around the globe an update of how things are building up for a wedding of a girl and boy in India? The boy is oceans away and the girl is in the vicinity of the preparations.

Yes. This is my new imagination as a blogger to take the readers on a daily basis - Runup to the big day! How would it be to hire (request) 10 more bloggers who will be writing contents to this blog on my behalf? This is becoming a 'Blog Production', a team who work round the clock to update this blog!
